You don’t often become part of a moment so deeply charged with faith and collective energy, but on this remarkable day, the residents of Noida did. The Sector 21A Noida Stadium’s Ramlila Ground transformed into a sea of devotion as Chinmaya Mission Noida organised a grand Hanuman Chalisa Hawan to commemorate its 75th anniversary.
Families, youth, and spiritual seekers gathered in large numbers, coming together in a powerful act of collective chanting to invoke the blessings of Lord Hanuman. According to Anil Saggar, a committee member of Chinmaya Mission Noida, an estimated 6,000 devotees, including schoolchildren, participated in the sacred event. The occasion was further dignified by the presence of MP Dr Mahesh Sharma, who inaugurated the programme.
Among the attendees was Dr Uma Snehi, a resident of Sector 29, Noida, who came to immerse herself in the devotional atmosphere. “Lord Hanuman is my Isht Dev,” she shared. Describing her experience, she said, “It’s incredible. I feel complete peace and calmness.”
The event was envisioned as a collective offering, an effort to foster harmony, inner strength, and spiritual upliftment. In times marked by unrest and animosity, the organisers emphasised the healing power of prayer, channelled not just for individual well-being but also for the healing of Mother Earth.
The gathering witnessed participation across age groups and regions. Ratanshree, a 12-year-old student of Chinmaya Mission School, travelled all the way from Rae Bareli to be part of the celebration, accompanied by his music teacher Aditya Mishra, a percussionist from Prayagraj belonging to the Banaras gharana. “I find Hanuman Ji a great source of inspiration,” said Ratanshree, his devotion reflecting his maturity beyond his age.
Equally enthusiastic was Saloni, a 23-year-old student from Guwahati, Assam, who attended the event with her aunt from Sector 12, Noida. “There’s no one like Hanuman Ji. I draw strength from Him. He is truly invigorating,” she said, moved by the experience.
The defining moment of the day unfolded as thousands of voices rose together, chanting the Hanuman Chalisa in unison. The resonating verses created an atmosphere charged with devotion, peace, and collective consciousness. The ground transformed into a powerful spiritual offering that will linger in the hearts of Noida’s residents for a long time to come.
