Two New Power Substations In Dadri and Jewar

The Noida power department plans to set up two new substations in Dadri and Jewar. The substations are being planned to meet the increasing demand for power in the rural areas of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Times of India reported.
The Noida Power Department has sent a proposal to Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) to set up substations with 33/11 kV capacity each at Dadri and Jewar. It is part of the Rs 70 crore from infrastructure upgrades in FY 2026-27 proposed by the department to UPPCL to meet the increasing summer demand.
Among the other plans of the department are capacity enhancement of ageing transformers, replacement of old cables and poles, and bifurcation of feeders in high-load areas.
