Surajkund Fair 2026

HBTeam

The 39th edition of Surajkund Mela began today, January 31, 2026, in Faridabad and promises to be bigger than ever. India’s Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the fair and spoke about the spirit of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”—the world as one family. The theme for this year is “Local to Global – Atmanirbhar Bharat.” Here is a simple guide to everything you need to know.

The Theme

Meghalaya is the theme state of Surajkund Mela 2026. While the fair has over a thousand stalls from across India, Meghalaya’s crafts, artists, and handicrafts are in special focus this year. From January 31 to February 15, 2026, visitors can enjoy daily performances by folk artists, classical and Bollywood singers, Sufi bands, comedians, and dance groups at the Chaupal and Maha Stage.

Visitor’s Convenience at its best

This year, special attention has been given to visitor convenience. Haryana Tourism has launched the Mela Saathi App. Through the app, visitors can buy tickets, check the fair map, find exhibitor details and stall numbers, explore events and food options, and access important information such as washrooms, medical services, water points, visitor info on what do’s and don’ts are, and lost-and-found facilities—all in one place.

Important things to note!

Partner Nation and Global Touch

Egypt is the partner nation this year and is showcasing its rich heritage through art and cultural displays. Inspired by the pyramids and the vibrant markets of Cairo, the Egyptian pavilion is expected to be a major attraction for visitors.
