More Buses To Ply From Noida, Gr. Noida Depots For Holi
Buses will ply round the clock
Keeping in view the anticipated surge in passenger traffic due to Holi, the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) has announced extra buses and additional staff at bus depots in Noida and Greater Noida on Wednesday.
As per the plans, the Noida depot will run 180 buses round-the-clock, supported by additional staff to ensure smooth travel for commuters, while the Greater Noida depot will run 117 buses.
The Noida depot, which usually serves 35,000 passengers daily, expects a rise to nearly 40,000 passengers during the festival, because of which around 800 personnel, including drivers and conductors, have been deployed for the occasion.
SN Pandey, assistant regional manager, UPSRTC, informed Hindustan Times that incentives will be provided to drivers and conductors as their leaves had to be struck off to manage the rush. Drivers have been warned against speeding and drunken driving, and the use of seat belts has been made mandatory. A helpline number has also been issued – 0120-2507864 to assist commuters.
