Foundation Stone of Skywalk In Noida Sector 62 Laid
Pedestrian movement on NH 24 would ease with the skywalk connecting Noida with Ghaziabad
Noida MP Dr Mahesh Sharma, MLA Pankaj Singh and officials of the Noida Authority on Wednesday were a part of the foundation stone laying ceremony of a skywalk at the rotary in Sector 62 along the Delhi-Meerut Expressway. The 530-metre elevated corridor will be constructed at a cost of Rs 26 crore and completed in one and a half years.
The 530-metre skywalk will feature a 350-metre section built in the form of a circle above the roundabout, as well as a 180-metre straight segment. There would be stairs, lifts, and escalators on four sides: Sector 62, Sector 63, and both sides of NH-9.
The project is part of the plan to remove bottlenecks along the 3.5-km stretch from Sector 62 to Mamura, which witnesses heavy traffic congestion during peak hours, the Hindustan Times reported.
