Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Inaugurates Kapil Dev’s Super-speciality Hospital In Greater Noida West

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated a private super-specialty hospital founded by former cricketer Kapil Dev in Greater Noida West. The facility would strengthen healthcare services in Gautam Buddha Nagar and neighbouring areas of the National Capital Region (NCR), the CM said at the inaugural. 

The KDSG Super Speciality Hospital, inaugurated in Greater Noida West’s Sector 10, is a 300-bed tertiary care hospital equipped with modular operation theatres, multi-specialty ICUs, a catheterisation laboratory, an emergency and trauma centre, and other advanced diagnostic and treatment infrastructure. The hospital also has dedicated centres for cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, neurology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology, paediatrics and critical care medicine. The former cricketer said the hospital was built on the belief that quality healthcare must be honest and affordable.

The hospital will be operated by Ajeenkya D Y Patil Healthcare (ADYPH).

Addressing the gathering, the CM said the hospital has 300 beds but will also generate 1,000 jobs locally.  He stressed the role of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in providing healthcare to economically weaker sections. More than 5.6 crore golden cards have been issued in Uttar Pradesh, while over 60 crore people are covered under the scheme across the country, he informed. The CM said that those not covered under the Ayushman scheme can get assistance from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. About ₹1,300 crore, he said, was provided from the fund for the treatment of patients across hospitals in the state.

Adityanath also stressed on the importance of good behaviour of medical professionals in early recovery of patients.

Among the others present on the occasion were Gautam Budh Nagar MP Mahesh Sharma, Minister Brijesh Singh, MLAs Tejpal Nagar and Dhirendra Singh, and healthcare entrepreneur Ajeenkya D Y Patil.
