Noida CEO Removes Six Sanitation Staffers, Warns Contractor
After an inspection of different sectors of Noida, the CEO took action against sanitation staffers and warned the manager and contractor for civic upkeep
Following a recent inspection of various sectors of the city, Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Krishna Karunesh removed six staff members for poor civic upkeep. He also imposed penalties for poor waste management and maintenance failures.
While six sanitation workers were removed, the salaries of some staff have also been withheld. The CEO inspected early this week inspected drains, roads, civic maintenance, and encroachments. He found a heap of waste in Sector 8, following which two sanitation workers and a health supervisor were removed.
Likewise, Karunesh found garbage in Sector 57 and removed a sanitation worker while the junior engineer’s salary was withheld for 10 days. The CEO also removed a sanitation worker and the supervisor from Sector 63 after he found garbage and heaps of dry leaves on the central verge, internal roads, and drain. Both the manager and the contractor were warned and a notice was served that they would be blacklisted if work was not carried out properly.
The CEO found door-to-door garbage collection work unsatisfactory while drains were found clogged and damaged. He ordered repairs of drains.
