Noida Working Hard To Top In Swachh Survekshan 2025-26
In 2024-25, Noida made it to the Super Swachh League (SSL), a category introduced last year to recognise cities continuously securing top spot in the last three Swachh Survekshans
Will Noida acquire the top spot in Swachh Survekshan 2025-26? Well, the possibilities are high as Noida Authority is making all efforts to ensure Noida secures the top spot in Swachh Survekshan this year. In a review meeting organised at the office of the Noida Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO), officials and agencies in charge of keeping Noida clean were warned that any laxity in work will not be accepted. They were told that strict action will be taken against them if negligence was found.
The review meeting was held at Panchsheel Balak Inter College Stadium in Sector 91. Employees of the public health department, civil engineering department, contractors and agencies engaged in sanitation work, NGOs participated in the meeting.
Noida was named the cleanest city in the 3 lakh to 1 million category in the Super Swachh League Cities 2024–25. The goal of the Authority now seems to surpass other cities by excelling in sanitation and waste management.
At the meeting, AG Enviro Projects Private Ltd, the agency in charge of waste collection in Noida, was directed to ensure 100% waste collection from all households. The CEO directed regular mechanical cleaning of all main roads and action against agencies for substandard work.
Sanitation workers were advised to use personal protective equipment, and supervisors were asked to ensure regular cleaning of roads, drains, footpaths and service roads. They were also asked to carry their identity cards to work. Among the other instructions given were to ensure block and street-wise cleaning of drains, cleaning of market areas every night, door-to-door collection of garbage by agency vehicles, silt removed from drains should be sent to the dumping ground in Sector 145, daily resolution of complaints received on social media (Twitter, A-Pag, IGRS, WhatsApp), and all shopkeepers/hawkers should keep two dustbins (green/blue).
The Authority also appealed to citizens to keep Noida clean and understand that it is everyone's responsibility. “Citizens' cooperation is essential to ensuring Noida's first place in Swachh Survekshan,” they were told.
The theme of Swachh Survekshan this year is: Swacchata Ki Nayi Pehel- Badhayein Haath, Karein Safai Saath. In its tenth year now, for the Swachh Survekshan this year, citizens will be able to share feedback throughout the year through multiple platforms, including the Vote For My City App and Portal, MyGov App, Swachhata App, and QR codes.
